I'm not giving up on my pencil rendering but I wanted to get this in CAD so that I can have some fun doing deck plans, and possibly some great detail drawings.

These are the preliminary general arrangements. Let me know if you all have any design changes that you think of.

Hi, all nice little cocept ship you have here Benjamin, very simple yet powerfull. In fact i liked it so much that i made a 3d sketchup model of it, not very detailed and mostly inspired by J6Studios's vision of it.

That is killer man! You beat me to putting it in 3D. I use AutoCAD for work so I think I"ll play around with it in that. Maybe I can get it to a rendered product.

Sorry I haven't been posting lately, I have been at work till midnight every dang night this week, and then till two this morning. RL Deadlines stink sometimes!

Here is the first Rendering that I've come up with. It's still a work in progress and I will post more as they come.

File comment: I don't know how to do the material design just yet so it might take awhile before I fully complete it to that part.

Cool! Look at the angle of the ellipse, then compare it to your original drawing!!

Notice how the minor axis goes straight to the vanishing point?

New background should help you see the details of the the model a bit better.

I have also worked on placing the supper structure with some details that I am still playing around with.

Please Feel Free to let me know what you all think.

Does anyone know how of any ships, beyond the "Star Fury" and the Bubble Fighter from Lost in Space that has a good example of Max visibility cockpit designs? I'm trying to come up with a fighter with this feature.

The stargate universe's f 302 fighter has a pretty good cockpit design IMO

Or maybe the ship from the Last star fighter.

A bit of forward progress made, I put some basic material to the "living area" of the ship and worked on some of the engine arrangement. I have also added two huge vented area on this engine, let me know if you think this fits or I can move them or some other bit of greebling would fit better, I'm not 100% sure I like this part myself.

As always comments and critiques are welcome.

I felt like it's been forever since I got to put lead to paper but I finally got a few hours to put some really crappy pencil sketches to paper this weekend. I did one that I really liked and I might end up taking it further but I wanted to get some feedback on it as it goes through the design phases.

Please let me know what you think of my Cruiser Ideaiation!

I don't have any specs thought up about her, I literally just sketched this up and put it down for fear of screwing it up. I went through 4 engine configurations before settling back on to the first one.

i like the top view. I think you should lose the top part (the bridge?) or move it further back. Right now it looks too low-rider-ish with it. Everything else looks good. It would be interesting to see what othere peoples' versions of things looks like. I remember when you first posted this someone else helped you with a sketch.
